Privacy Policy
folderCamera ("the App") puts your privacy first.
- Where media is stored: Photos and videos you capture are saved to your device's Photos library. The App keeps no separate library or server and does not transmit your media off-device unless you choose to share it. Your albums, photos, and videos remain even if you delete the App.
- Data kept on your device: Photos and videos that could not be saved to the Photos app (for example, those taken while Photos access was not allowed, or when saving failed) are kept temporarily inside the App until they can be saved. If you delete the App, anything still kept temporarily is lost. So that you can change the album after taking a shot, the App records the identifiers of the last 60 photos and videos captured in the App on your device. The album list (names, identifiers, and colors), the album you last chose, your settings, and your Pro status are also stored on your device and shared with the App's widgets.
- Photo library access: Used to save captures to your Photos library and add them to the album you choose. For this, the App creates albums, and when you rename an album in the App, it renames the album in Photos too. Photos and videos captured in the App can later be moved to another album or removed from an album. Access is also used to view, share, and delete recent photos and videos in your Photos library and to let you choose existing albums. Nothing else. With Limited access, captures taken without an album (No Album) are still saved to your Photos library. Sorting into albums requires Full Access to Photos.
- Camera and microphone: The camera is used only to take photos and videos, and the microphone only to record audio with your videos. Nothing other than what you capture is stored or sent.
- No tracking in the App: No user tracking. The App uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. If “Share With App Developers” is turned on in your device settings, crash and performance statistics reach the developer through Apple in a form that does not identify you.
- Location: Off by default. Only when you turn on “Add Location to Photos” in Settings is your current location recorded in the photos and videos you capture. Location permission is requested only then; no location history is stored and nothing is sent off your device.
- Purchases: The one-time "Pro" purchase is handled by Apple's In-App Purchase; purchase data is managed by Apple. The App does not collect or transmit purchase-related personal data.
- No sharing with third parties.

Analytics on this website
The “No tracking” statements above describe the iOS app. This website uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, only after you explicitly allow analytics. Google Analytics is not loaded before permission or after a refusal. You can browse pages and follow App Store links without allowing analytics.
- Purpose and recipient: We measure page visits and App Store link clicks to improve the website’s information and navigation. Page views, interactions such as clicks, cookie-based browser identifiers, and technical browser/device information are sent to Google. Network communication uses your IP address. See Google’s official explanations below for its data practices.
- Cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies such as
_gato identify a browser and measure visits and sessions. This website sets analytics cookies to expire after 180 days. - Data limits: Page URLs exclude query strings and fragments. Referrer URLs are limited to their origin (scheme and host, including a port where applicable). Advertising consent is denied, and Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Your app photos, videos, and albums are not part of website analytics.
- Remembering your choice: Your allow/decline choice is stored in this browser’s local storage for 180 days. Once it expires, analytics stays off until you allow it again. If the browser cannot save the choice, it applies only to the current page and you will be asked again on the next page.
- Declining or withdrawing consent: Choose “Decline analytics” below to stop further analytics and remove the analytics cookies this website can delete. You can also change your choice in the preference panel on pages that use analytics. Withdrawing consent does not delete data already sent.
- Browser privacy signals: Analytics stays off when Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) is enabled, regardless of a saved permission. Analytics is also never loaded on privacy or support pages.
